She is humbled and grateful to have helped patients when other doctors, procedures, and medicines could not.
Sharon is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame and received her doctorate and master’s of science from the The America College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She specializes in women’s health, fertility, internal medicine, and pain management. She studied both western and eastern medicine and is trained in Chinese, Japanese and Korean styles of acupuncture, incorporating gentler needling techniques. She also utilizes herbal medicine, functional lab testing and assessments, nutritional supplements, electro acupuncture, fire cupping, and gua sha. Sharon brings immense compassion to her practice and believes in patient education. She has successfully worked with her patients to treat a variety of ailments both in outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital settings, including the California Pacific Medical Center – Sutter Health in San Francisco.
Personal and family health challenges led Sharon to discover the benefits of acupuncture. After contracting Bell’s Palsy, doctors told Sharon there was nothing western medicine could do to resolve it. Turning to alternative treatments, Sharon sought out acupuncture and within two sessions her Bell’s Palsy was gone. Sharon later found herself supporting her family through fertility challenges and women’s health issues. Subsequently, after providing hospice care for her mother and losing both parents to health issues, Sharon felt called to dedicate her life to helping and healing others through Chinese Medicine.
Sharon is the founder and owner of Spruce Acupuncture in Danville, CA where she maintains a private practice. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
